Cerris Team Shares Stories of Ownership and Impact

Team members from across the country recently came together to share their unique journeys as employee owners — from the field to leadership, from early career to legacy-building.

Our ESOP Panel brought this year’s theme of “Planned Success” to life through real stories of growth, impact, and momentum.

Panelists Ryan Myers, Area Superintendent at Cerris Builders; Kristi Phillips, VP of Service at Cerris Systems; Alex Greer, Estimator at Cerris Builders; and Robert Schinske, Project Manager at Cerris Systems, each shared what employee ownership has meant to their careers — from finding purpose in their work to creating a lasting legacy for the next generation.

For Alex Greer, success starts with teamwork. “We care about winning as a team, and nobody gets drug across the finish line,” he shared, reminding us that shared ownership means shared accountability.

Kristi Phillips spoke to the connection and pride that come with being an employee owner. “We’re more than just coworkers — we’re owners,” she said. “We all have an impact on the bottom line.”

Robert Schinske reflected on growth and perseverance, noting that success doesn’t happen overnight. “Commit to the process,” he said. “Because it works.”

And for Ryan Myers, employee ownership is about mutual respect and shared purpose. “We work for each other, and what I do impacts the person beside me,” he said.

Whether they’re just starting out or thinking about the legacy they’ll leave behind, their stories offered powerful insight into how our shared future at Cerris is built — one intentional step at a time.
