Cerris Champions Employee Ownership on Capitol Hill

Members of our team were proud to join fellow Employee-Owned S Corporations of America (ESCA) members in Washington, D.C. for the Federal Policy Conference & Lobby Day. Employee owners from across the country came together for more than 180 meetings on Capitol Hill, sharing with Members of Congress how Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) fuel business growth, create quality jobs, and provide meaningful retirement savings.

Jason Evelyn, Chief Executive Officer, had the opportunity to meet with the National Economic Council (NEC)—the White House’s hub for advising the President on economic policy and coordinating priorities across federal agencies. The NEC plays a key role in shaping the U.S. business environment, signaling economic priorities, and ensuring follow-through on initiatives that impact employee ownership.

These conversations underscored the importance of the Promotion and Expansion of Private Employee Ownership Act in making it easier for more companies to form ESOPs—helping strengthen businesses, employees, and communities nationwide.
